![]() I've gone with ALCHEMIST with the TOXICANT and VIVISECTIONIST archetypes. For her Camping skills (downtime abilities) she cand heal some conditions, improve scouting and produce some supply items. The poisoned darts also give a damage boost to some of her attack options. The graverobber is a mobile hero who has some decent melee and ranged options, some poisoned darts, a defensive potion that gives dodge (Armour Class) and an invisibility ability that also buffs the Graverobber's damage for a few turns. TLDR: How would you build a Darkest Dungeon hero as a Pathfinder Character?Īlright I'll take a stab at the Graverobber. So what do people think? How would you build a character if you were asked to play someone based off one of them? (And again, it can be as mechanically and/or thematically different as you like, as long as you can argue why it's that character.) ![]() This was kind-of the reason I started thinking of how people would make DD characters in PF, so even though it's not actually a great match it got me thinking. ![]() probably because of the name, but using a pick and/or shovel as a weapon also helps the connection. Honestly it's not a particularly close match mechanically, but thematically it would fit perfectly in a game like Darkest Dungeon and it made me think of the Graverobber. I recently came across the GRAVEDIGGER archetype for the Investigator class (Investigator/Occultist hybrid archetype), and it made me think of the Graverobber in Darkest Dungeon. So my first character to convert is the Graverobber. (No idea sorry) <- I haven't played this one (it's DLC) SHIELDBREAKER - Shifting, swaying - she mesmerizes her prey before the final strike. (Blood Kineticist maybe?) <- I haven't played this one (it's DLC) VESTAL - A sister of battle - pious and unrelenting! (Cleric)įLAGELLANT - There is power in the Blood, for those with the fortitude to pay the price. PLAGUE DOCTOR - What better laboratory than the blood-soaked battlefield? (Alchemist, pretty easy comparison) (I mean Occultist comes to mind for obvious reasons, but a Wizard or Mesmerist or something actually fits better. OCCULTIST - To fight the abyss, one must know it. (Gunslinger obviously) <- I haven't played this one (it's DLC, and also kind-of a re-skin of the Arbalest) MUSKETEER - A champion markswoman - keen for a new kind of challenge. (Oh wait, this one's the Cavalier, sharing teamwork feats) MAN AT ARMS - The raw strength of youth may be spent, but his eyes hold the secrets of a hundred campaigns. (Figher maybe? Or perhaps Battle Oracle with a Wasting Curse?) LEPER - This man understands that adversity and existence are one and the same. HOUNDMASTER - A lawman and his faithful beast - a bond forged by battle and bloodshed. HIGHWAYMAN - Elusive, evasive, persistent. HELLION - Barbaric rage and unrelenting savagery make for a powerful ally. GRAVEROBBER - To those with the keen eye, gold gleams like a dagger's point. (Brawler?)ĬRUSADER - A mighty sword-hand anchored by a holy purpose. (Maybe Ranger?)īOUNTY HUNTER - The thrill of the hunt. (Occultist maybe?)ĪRBALEST - Shoot, bandage and pillage: the dancing steps of war. ![]() (Shifter I guess?)ĪNTIQUARIAN - She searches where others will not go. this man is more dangerous than he seems. You've got a little bit of time to wrap things up if you're not ready to get into all that just yet, as Red Hook expects the update will be ready to go live on the main branch of Darkest Dungeon 2 in a week or two._ _ĪBOMINATION - Tortured and reclusive. Red Hook Studio warned that the update "is a wholesale rework of the fundamental underpinnings of Darkest Dungeon 2’s metagame & progression," and that all current hope scores will be reset, meaning that unlocked items and heroes, and any in-progress expeditions, will be wiped. The Altar of Hope update is live today on the Darkest Dungeon 2 experimental branch on the Epic Games Store, so you'll need to be opted in to that if you want to give it a look. Not very practical, perhaps, but a nice touch. The Altar of Hope confers one other benefit to players in their battle against creeping evil: As candles are invested into it, the view of the Kingdom will gradually be restored to what it once was. These characteristics will persist until the hero's death." "Plus, heroes who survive a final boss battle can now have an additional Memory invested. "While their Mastery level will be reset, surviving heroes will also keep their Hero Path, quirks, and name," Red Hook explained. Those lives aren't always especially long, but heroes who can stick around through the showdown with the final boss will keep their memories, making them even more powerful. The last category is different from the first three because it's not permanent: Memories are powerful but only last for the life of that specific hero.
